Description: Etchells USA 1090 – Sponsorship Opportunity
Purchase Price: $15,000

The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Sailing Foundation is pleased to offer Etchells USA 1090 as a unique sponsorship opportunity for an individual or team committed to advancing maritime education, sail training, and competitive sailing. Professionally reconditioned by Steve Benjamin during the winter of 2025–2026, USA 1090 is a race-ready platform prepared for competitive sailing.

The boat includes:

Road ready trailer
Full boat cover
Good sail inventory
Ready to campaign immediately

Rather than a traditional sale, the Foundation is seeking a sailor or program that shares its mission of developing the next generation of mariners and competitive sailors. The selected recipient may sponsor and campaign the boat through December 2027 while supporting the Foundation's educational and competitive sailing initiatives.

The sponsorship is structured with the intention of purchasing the vessel for a total of $15,000, split into two payments, with ownership transferring upon completion of the sponsorship term in December 2027.
