Eight Bells - Ian Knight
Australian Etchells sailor, Ian Knight tragically passed away during the recent Australian National Championship Regatta. Mr. Knight was an active member of the Lake Macquarie fleet for several years. The class would like to extend our sincere condolences to his family.
The One Design Techical (ODT) Committee has determined that the use of spreader brackets that have a rapid adjustment feature is NOT legal. Any mast fitted with rapid adjusting brackets must disable this feature immediately. Boats that insist on using this feature at sanctioned events are subject to protest.
