Proposed changes to the class rules

The next step is to send the changes to World Sailing for final approval.
The four approved changes are noted below in italics:
- F.6.1(a) STANDING RIGGING - MATERIALS: The standing rigging shall be of stainless steel or rope. The backstay shall be minimum of 10400mm long and shall be directly attached to the mast crane
- F.6.2(a)(4) STANDING RIGGING - CONSTRUCTION - MANDATORY: A backstay pennant of 7x19 wire or equivalent rope
- F.6.4 STANDING RIGGING - DIMENSIONS:
Forestay diameter - minimum 4.7mm
Shroud diameter - minimum 4.7mm
Lower Shroud diameter - minimum 4.7mm
Backstay diameter - minimum 3.2mm
Backstay length - minimum 10400mm
Backstay pennant diameter wire- minimum 4.0mm
Backstay pennant diameter rope - minimum 4.0mm - F.7.4 RUNNING RIGGING - DIMENSIONS:
Main halyard rope - change from minimum 5.9mm to minimum 4mm
Headsail halyard rope - change from minimum 5.9mm to minimum 4.8mm
Spinnaker halyard rope - change from minimum 5.9mm to minimum 4.8mm
As soon as approval from World Sailing is received, we will post the effective date for these changes to the Class Rules
